Summer Flowers Collection: A Peak Behind the Design

These happy little flowers—sunflower, zinnia, and daisy—were inspired by everything I love about summer: sunshine, color, and that cozy feeling of being surrounded by nature. Each one is planted in its own pot, making them perfect for decorating your shelves, brightening a gift, or adding a bit of handmade charm to your space. They’re full of personality and fun to make, especially if you enjoy projects with a little extra detail.

It’s best suited for intermediate crocheters who like to learn new techniques and don’t mind slowing down for the thoughtful bits. You'll work with bobbles, stitch markers, and shaping techniques that really bring the flowers to life. I’ve added tips, helpful notes, and even a video or two to walk you through the process. By the end, you’ll have a sweet set of summer flowers that will never wilt, no watering needed.

Pattern Notes

  1. The pot, soil, and center of each flower of this pattern are worked in continuous rounds.
  2. Mark first stitch of each round, moving marker up each round.
  3. Finished size may vary based on yarn, hook size, and tension.
  4. Using a "yarn under" method when working in rounds creates a tighter stitch.
  5. Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
  6. When instructed to place multiple stitch markers in a single row, use different colored markers. Make a note of which color corresponds to each stitch.
  7. Wrong side refers to the inside of your fabric, identified by the presence of the beginning tail.
  8. When joining the centers of each flower, make sure the right side of your fabric is facing out.
