What I Love About This Yarn
I absolutely love the texture of this yarn. It is incredibly plush and soft, making it perfect for creating a cuddly blanket, sweater, or stuffed animal. While crocheting a granny square, I found the yarn easy to work with; it slid effortlessly around my hook and didn't split. Although this yarn does shed a bit, which is common with chenille yarn, I was pleased that the shedding was minimal.
I truly appreciated the thoughtful design of the yarn skeins, where the different colors transition seamlessly into one another. This clever connection of hues significantly minimizes the number of yarn tails that require weaving in, making crocheting much more enjoyable and efficient. The colors themselves are incredibly bright and vibrant, bringing a lively energy to whichever projects I take on. I find myself delighted by the wide range of color combinations available, as they offer countless creative possibilities. Whether I'm creating a cozy blanket, a stylish scarf, or a playful set of accessories, this yarn opens the door to so many inspiring projects.
The skeins are small in size, making them ideal for a variety of projects. You have the option to purchase them in bulk, allowing you to acquire three skeins of each color. This bulk purchasing option not only offers convenience but also comes at an incredibly reasonable price.
What I Didn’t Like
While crocheting my granny squares, I noticed that some of the skeins had either too much of one color or not enough, which made it challenging to complete my rows in a single color. I had to improvise several times, rip out my work (often referred to as "frogging"), and try using a different hook size or adjusting my tension to accommodate each color in its designated row. Although I appreciated that the colors were connected, it would have been helpful to have a little extra of each color included in the skein to complete the granny square as shown in the pattern. However, if you're working on a different type of project, this may not be as significant an issue.
As I mentioned earlier, this yarn does have a tendency to shed, though it's worth noting that the shedding is relatively minimal when compared to other types of chenille yarns on the market. While this might not be a significant issue for many crocheters, some individuals may find even this slight shedding off-putting, particularly if they're looking for a completely low-maintenance yarn.
